Can I actually have an impact on the things that make up my life?
Have you found yourself in life circumstances that make you wonder, what else? Could this {church, organization, routine, other} work better? Could I improve myself or the circumstances around me, even when they feel hopeless? When do I surrender it, and when can I change it? Whether it's your own identity or you're questioning the systems around you, perhaps you're wondering if things can really change, or if the seemingly insurmountable task is even worth endeavoring.
Life is difficult, no doubt. Knowing where to best invest our limited time and capacity sometimes seems to be the endless pursuit of adulthood. I don't think it has to be. With a willingness to be honest, surrender what is God's and not ours, and a deep sense of connection to your people, I think we can do far more than we ever imagined. Grab your favorite drink and let's start with an honest inventory of what is making life hard for each of us right now. My front porch is open for you.
Nice to Meet You
Welcome to my small corner of the world. I have been writing in some capacity for most of my life - from a creative story project I loved in 5th grade to the more lawyerly, less creative type in my early twenties, I am learning to find creativity again and mustering up courage to hit publish more often. We all navigate the world with our own unique perspectives, joys, and experiences, but I especially love finding things you and I share - is it a love for coffee? Maybe sitting outside on a beautiful day? Being with your pups? Learning new things? Reading a book? Enjoying your favorite sport or activity? Let's find something we can both spend hours talking about.
