The porch light is on.

You are welcome and heard.

Sometimes we just need a friend to listen when we’re working through something hard and unexpected.

Other times, we need the practical.

We need resources. We need next steps. We need someone to hash it out and put the list in front of us, because the emotions and overwhelm of the situation just keeps us spinning that sticky wheel.

Come like a friend, welcome anytime on my front porch…but leave with the honest clarity, guidance, and next steps to work through the mountain in front of you.

Life, Home, and Meaningful Decisions - Thoughtfully Navigated

Hey there, I’m Marquel!

Writing used to be my secret refuge during the hardest days of practicing law. Now it’s a sign of freedom and a way to connect with you. Law taught me to help people through losses and complicated estate issues. I now use that experience to coach others through tough decisions. I’ll sit with you to sort things out, point you to useful services like lawyers and holistic health practitioners, and share favorite local spots. I also help guide job changes, shifts in identity, and big home choices—buying, selling, or remodeling—as a realtor and owner of a residential remodeling company in Central Iowa.

Pull up a chair.
Take a breath. Stay a while.

Life has a way of speeding up…especially when the decisions in front of us carry weight.

This space is a place to slow down, think clearly, and process what’s actually in front of you. Whether that’s a transition, a home decision, or simply figuring out what comes next.

Like sitting on a front porch with someone who listens well and helps you see things just a little more clearly.
